The Australian Football League is pleased to provide its support to the 2008 Landmark Australian Country Football Carnival.

Congratulations to this year’s host, Worksafe VCFL, and to all 8 teams participating in the event.  We look forward to watching the best country footballers in Australia battle it out in Shepparton, a region rich in Australian football history.

This year we celebrate 150 years of Australian Football, a game that has been an integral part of our culture and community life across the nation.  We recognise the significance of the game at all levels:- from the AFL to the state leagues, to local clubs, to Auskick centres & school yard games, and of course to country football with its fierce club and league rivalries.

The commitment, dedication and passion of those involved in country football is one of the reasons our game is in great shape.
